WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A VISIT
THE HORSE MUST BE CLEAN AND MUD FREE
IF POSSIBLE ACCESS TO A STABLE IS PREFERRED
ACCESS TO A FLAT SURFACE FOR THE ASSESSMENT
IF YOUR HORSE IS FIT AND WELL THEN NO PRIOR VET CONSENT IS NEEDED, BUT IF YOUR HORSE IS UNDER ANY VETERINARY CARE THEN YOU CAN PRINT OFF THE VET CONSENT FORM BELOW AND GET YOUR VET TO SIGN PRIOR TO THE VISIT (PLEASE NOTE IF YOUR HORSE IS NOT REGISTERED WITH A VET THEN I CANNOT PROCEED WITH THE VISIT)
PICTURES ARE TAKEN AND WILL BE USED FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES IF FOR ANY REASON YOU DO NOT WANT THE PICTURES USED PLEASE STATE BEFORE THE END OF THE SESSION
A HORSE HISTORY FORM IS REQUIRED TO BE FILLED IN PLEASE SEE BELOW TO DOWNLOAD THE RELEVANT FORM
COST IS £50 PER SESSION, PAYMENT IS DUE ON THE DAY OF THE SESSION
HORSES ARE BOOKED IN ON A 3 MONTHLY BASIS, THIS CAN CHANGE DEPENDING ON THE HORSES CIRCUMSTANCES
IF YOUR HORSE HAS ANY BEHAVIOURAL ISSUES THEN PLEASE DISCLOSE BEFORE THE SESSION
CONTRAINDICATIONS (FACTOR OR SITUATION THAT INHIBITS THE USE OF BODYWORK)
SOMETIMES WE MAY REFUSE A SESSION AND EVEN WHEN WE ARRIVE WE MAY STOP BEFORE A SESSION HAS BEGUN DUE TO SOME CIRCUMSTANCES,
TPR. IF THERE IS AN IRREGULARITY WITH TEMPERATURE, RESPIRATION OR PULSE
DISCHARGE FROM EYES OR NOSE
INJURY OR WOUND IN THE EARLY STAGES OF HEALING INCLUDING SWELLING
HIVES
ZOONOSE, SOMETHING THAT COULD BE PASSED TO OTHER ANIMALS OR HUMANS I.E RINGWORM
COLIC
INFECTIOUS DISEASES SUCH AS STRANGLES, INFLUENZA
PREGNANCY, IT IS OFTEN IN THE 1ST OR 3RD TRIMESTER THAT CAUTION IS ADVISED SO MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE IS NOT TO WORK ON THE MARE WHILE SHE IS IN FOAL
ALTERED GAIT, LAMENESS HAS TO BE REFERRED TO THE VET PRIOR TO A SESSION
IF IN DOUBT YOUR VET SHOULD BE THE FIRST TO CALL EQUINE THERAPY IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR VETERINARY ATTENTION
